San Simeon Receives $3.1 Million New York State Renovation Grant

$3.1 Million Renovation

San Simeon By The Sound Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation recently received a 3.1 million dollar renovation grant from New York State to allow for a more up-to-date facility and much-needed Adult Medical Day Care program.  The grant requires the facility to raise matching funds, which is the focus of fund raising initiatives this year.

“We have been serving the community since 1979, and although our experience is impressive, time also brings the need to upgrade our physical presence, ” notes Priscilla DeMasi, Executive Director of  San Simeon.  “Also, with more and more baby boomers living incredibly actives lives and staying in careers longer, it  and with medical developments improving longevity for seniors, boomer children who still lead very active careers and lives, there is truly a major need for a Adult  Medical Day Care Center in the community and we are proud to be at the forefront of providing one.

Those interested in donating to the fund to match the building project grant, can contact Ms. DeMasi at San Simeon at 631-477-2110 (ext. 236).
