San Simeon By The Sound Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is pleased to announce completion of production of our 2007 educational series for Channel 20 public access TV entitled, “Issues and Options for Senior Care,” in collaboration with the Southold School District.
The four-part series includes healthcare professionals from around Long Island speaking with Louise Blackburn, our Director of Admissions. It was directed and filmed by technology students at Southold High School under the direction of Donald Fisher, Audio Visual Technician and Charles Burnham, Video Technician, both from Southold School District.
The TV series, will run Wednesdays at 5:30 pm on Cablevision Channel 20 beginning April 4th . The broadcast area includes Wading River to Orient and Eastport to Montauk. The series features four 30-minute segments: 1) Adult Day Care: Medical Model and Social Model, 2) Cancer Care: Hope and Help, 3) Eastern Long Island Hospital Rehabilitation Services and 4) RSVP (Retired & Senior Volunteer Program) Volunteer Services.
We are extremely proud to be producing this year’s TV series, especially after receiving a favorable response to other series that we have produced in the past. Past segments are available for loan Directly from San Simeon and the local North Fork Libraries.
